The Importance of Foam Control
Foaming of products often occurs within several stages of manufacturing and mining processes, such as the mixing of ingredients or an influx of soaps and detergents in your drainage/sewerage systems. Foaming in industrial processes can be a major cause of losses in productivity as the foam takes up volume in tanks and vessels that could be holding product, reducing the capacity of the system to produce your product.
How Semrad’s Foam Control Systems Work
While foam measurement can often be a difficult task, Semrad foam control systems utilise Charis foam sensors which detect levels of foam in tanks and vessels. Once a sensor detects the foam at a certain level, the correct dose of anti-foaming agents can be automatically pumped in, creating an effective foam management system.
Our foam control and management systems have been used in many applications including on Australian Navy vessels. If you’re after a foam control or foam management system, browse the products below or contact us for further information.
