Product Description

The NivoCont R is a highly reliable level switch for point level detection of bulk solids with density greater than 0.05 kg/dm3. The vibrating rod point level sensor, or vibration level switch, is a tried and tested technology, proven to work in most applications and materials. The NivoCont R is often used with great success for high level sensing, low level switching and general point level indication for almost any material in your silo, bin or hopper. The NivoCont R features a self-cleaning design that allows the level sensor to resist build-up and prevent silo over fill or product from running out with accurate level switching and no false signals. The NivoCont R features failsafe operation for sensitive applications, and IEC-Ex for applications in hazardous areas.

The NivoCont R vibrating rod level switch has been specifically designed for high level or low level point level detection of solids with a density of 0.05 kg/dm3 or greater. The vibration rod level switch operates using an electronic circuit that creates a vibration in the rod. When the medium reaches the rod, the frequency of vibration changes, this change in frequency is detected by the electronics and an output signal is generated after the selected delay. Once the material level falls around the vibrating switch, the vibration frequency returns to normal and the level switches output returns to normal.
