The Pulse Point II series of vibrating forks for point level measurement sense when a material reaches or leaves a particular point or level. These point level switches use electronic vibratory technology to sense the material. This mechanical operation is not affected by the dielectric constant of the material being measured.

Features and Benefits of the Pulse Point II Vibrating Fork;

Simple Installation

The Pulse Point II Vibrating Fork for point level measurement with universal power doesn't require calibration and can be installed quickly and easily. The power supply can be either AC or DC and is non-polarised, simplifying wiring issues during installation.

Highly Sensitive Point Level Measurement

The Pulse Point II vibrating fork has an ultra-high sensitivity and can detect the presence of materials with a density as low as 8kg/m3 (0.5lbs/ft3) while mounted either horizontally or vertically.

Standard or Advanced Electronics Option

The standard electronics that come with the Pulse Point II vibrating fork is a basic value package including power supply, three possible sensitivity settings, time delay adjustments up to 6 seconds and a push button test function. The advanced electronics option includes the same industry leading sensitivity and universal power supply as well as six possible sensitivity settings, material build-up indication, a greater range of time delay adjustments, liquid/solid interface detection and much more, providing you with greater flexibility and value.

Remote Electronics Options

The Pulse Point II has two installation options, an integral unit that combines both the probe and the electronics into a single unit and a remote option. The remote version separates the electronics away from the process for hazardous areas. These remote units may be mounted up to 30 metres away from the probe, allowing the remote electronics to be used to locate the electronics and indicator lights to a more convenient location or remove the electronics from high temperatures.

Build up Detection

The Pulse Point II is a vibrating fork used in point level measurement. As time goes on, the material may build up on the sensor, limiting its ability to detect the level and causing the sensor to not alarm. The Pulse Point II has been designed to flash a green light when a material build up is detected on the fork, allowing you to perform early, preventative maintenance. If the build-up goes unchecked, the probe will stop vibrating and alarm.

Test FOB

The test FOB provided with Pulse Point II units equipped with the advanced electronics allows for a periodic function test to be performed without removing the cover. When the function test is initiated the sensing of material is simulated and relay contacts will change state if the unit is functioning correctly. This is especially advantageous for hazardous areas where removing the cover with the power applied is not an option, such as applications involving explosive vapour or dust.

Global Approvals

The Pulse Point II is available with UL approval for the US and Canada, and CE marking (electromagnetic compatibility and low voltage directives) for ordinary locations or explosion proof and dust ignition proof hazardous area ratings.
