Product Description

NivoPress N hydrostatic level and pressure sensors  are designed to accurately measure the level of clean or contaminated liquids. These sensors work by converting the relative, or absolute pressure input signal, into a 4-20mA output signal, making it perfect for coninuous level measurement applications. The sophisticated electronics in the NivoPress D are HART programmable using a remote HART programmer such as the MultiCont, or a PC with HART modem. The NivoPress N hydrostatic level sensor comes with instrinsically safe and explosion proof models available for use in hazardous areas, making this hydrostatic level sensor suitable for a range of applications, from fuel storage tanks, to the food and beverage industry.

The Pinciple of Hydrostatic Level Measurement:

The operating principle of hydrostatic level measurement is relatively simple. The NivoPress N utilises a highly accurate and precise pressure transmitter that measures the pressure at the bottom of a tank or vessel, and subtracts the atmospheric pressure from this value to give the hydrostatic pressure. The hydrostatic pressure measured by the NivoPress is directly proportional to the liquid level, however the hydrostatic pressure can vary depending on the medium, so these variables must be programmed remotely via HART for accurate continuous level measurement.
